Davy's Fundraising Outpaces Opponent Five to One!

The Second Quarter campaign reports have been filed with the State Board of Elections, and House District 110 Candidate Davy Lowman leads the pack with over $5,500 raised during the quarter and almost $8,000 on hand. Lowman’s Republican opponent raised $1,050 during the Second Quarter, less than 20 percent of Lowman’s successful efforts. She has a little more than 4000 dollars on hand, significantly less than the Republican she defeated in the May Primary Election.

The reporting period ended on June 30th, so most of the contributions from Lowman’s July 10th fundraiser with Speaker of the House Joe Hackney and Majority Leader Hugh Holliman were not included on the Second Quarter report.

“I am excited to have so many good people from Cleveland and Gaston Counties supporting our campaign for the House 110 seat. I have the experience in state government to help our local businesses keep the good jobs that we already have, and my supporters know this. I am equipped to engage the majority party for the good of Gaston and Cleveland Counties, and I will go to work in Raleigh to bring the educational opportunities and transportation solutions we need to attract 21st Century businesses and jobs to our area.”

Davy’s supporters included caretakers, farmers, teachers, real estate professionals, and small business owners. Davy Lowman took no money from political committees during the second quarter.

Davy Lowman, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was the campaign manager on two successful State Senate campaigns in two of North Carolina’s most hotly contested districts, most recently working for Senator Joe Sam Queen. Before running for the House, Lowman served as the State Elections Liaison for the North Carolina Board of Elections. Lowman is the Democratic nominee for the open NC House seat in District 110. He lives in his hometown of Fallston and teaches at Gaston College.
